A zero-tolerance stance on discrimination, in line with UGC Regulations, 2019.
Chaitanya (Deemed to be University) is committed to an inclusive campus where every student, teacher, and staff member is treated with equality and dignity. In terms of the UGC (Institutions Deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2019, the University has constituted an Anti-Discrimination Cell / Committee to look into complaints of discrimination on the grounds of caste, creed, community, region, language, and related backgrounds — from students, teaching, and non-teaching staff, both on and outside the campus.
Any act of discrimination is regarded as a serious offence and attracts action under the University's disciplinary regulations and applicable law.
Discrimination in any form is not acceptable on our campus.
Every complaint is heard, investigated, and resolved impartially.
Identity and details of the complainant are protected throughout.
The Cell examines discrimination complaints on — but not limited to — the following grounds:

Students, teaching, and non-teaching staff may submit a written complaint to the Convener, or through the Grievance Redressal portal.
The Cell acknowledges the complaint, maintains confidentiality, and initiates a fact-finding inquiry with all parties heard.
Recommendations are forwarded to the Vice-Chancellor. Disciplinary action is taken per University regulations and applicable UGC norms.
The Cell monitors implementation and supports the complainant against retaliation or victimisation.
